Advocacy Chair
I am currently a Health Program Manager with the division of Behavioral
Health with the Section of Prevention and Early Intervention. My areas
of interest include community-based participatory research, substance
abuse prevention, coalitions, and community organizations. I have been
involved in training and technical assistance with the State of Alaska
Department of Health and Social Services since 1999. I have a PhD from
the Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City as well
as an MSW and BS from the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University respectively. As the Advocacy Chair with AHEC, I am able to collect requests for endorsements and letters of support for health education and health promotion initiatives.
