Biggest challenge facing Alaskan health professionals? We are in the midst of a paradigm change. We know prevention and primary
care is important, but our systems have not yet caught on and we are still
in a reaction-oriented, disease focused medical culture. We are faced with
the challenge of turning this around.

Burnout. Governmental and internal agency politics too often interfere with getting crucial work done. Too much talk and not enough action is frustrating.
